A Place for Angels

A Place for Angels was inspired by a memorial in Duluth, Minnesota.

Rick and Sue Williams saw the garden dedicated to children who had passed away and wanted to bring something similar to Chaseburg.

In June of last year, a group of families who had lost children gathered to discuss making this idea a reality.

From those first conversations, A Place for Angels was born.

The centerpiece of the memorial will be a 5-foot angel holding the hands of a boy and a girl, with a 6-foot brick wall behind it.

The wall will feature 8×12 tiles with the names of children lost too soon. Families will decide how their child’s name is displayed.

The space will include trees, flowers, benches, and pathways so that visitors can reflect, meditate, and remember.

This project has been supported through community donations and fundraising efforts, including a generous $16,000 donation from Power of 100.

The organization has received 501(c)3 nonprofit status, allowing all donations to be tax-deductible.

In the future, we hope to not only maintain the memorial but also provide funds for engraving for families who cannot afford it.

Additionally, we plan to offer scholarships for graduating high school seniors that have lost a sibling.

Our dedication ceremony is planned for fall of 2025.
